Job Title: Epic Analyst - Specialty Pharmacy
Location: Onsite once a month, Rockledge FL 32955
Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled Epic Analyst - Specialty Pharmacy to support the implementation, optimization, and maintenance of Epic electronic health record (EHR) systems. This role involves collaborating with healthcare professionals, IT teams, and business stakeholders to enhance workflows and ensure seamless system functionality. Acting as a key liaison, the Epic Analyst will coordinate IT activities based on end-user needs while providing a customer-focused experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Gain a thorough understanding of user workflows, core processes, and functions within assigned areas, including inpatient, ambulatory, ancillary, or revenue cycle operations.
- Work closely with clinical end users to analyze workflow needs and define system requirements.
- Design, configure, test, troubleshoot, and maintain Epic programs and applications.
- Leverage deep system functionality knowledge to implement new applications and system modules.
- Document business requirements, current and future workflows, and custom configurations as needed.
- Participate in all testing phases of application implementations and system upgrades.
- Research and resolve technical issues in collaboration with internal and external teams.
- Provide support during system go-live events, including off-hours coverage as necessary.
- Lead small to mid-sized projects with minimal supervision, utilizing project management tools such as project plans, issue logs, testing plans, and go-live schedules.
- Serve on an on-call rotation for incident resolution beyond standard business hours.
- Engage in cross-training initiatives to enhance skills and ensure sufficient coverage across all supported applications.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Education: Associate degree required; equivalent work experience may be considered.
- Certifications: Health Planet and Compass Rose Clinical Build, Willow Ambulatory, and Willow Inventory preferred. Specialty Pharmacy certification is highly desirable.
- Work Experience:
- Minimum of two years of experience in healthcare or one year of experience supporting technology systems.
- In lieu of a degree, four years of experience in healthcare or supporting technology systems is required.
Preferred Experience & Skills:
- Strong familiarity with Epic modules such as Bugsy, Blood Bank workflows, and HOD (specialty diagnostics in neurology and pulmonary).
- Experience in various testing phases, including ART, Integrated, Charge, and Ronin reviews.
- Ability to develop quick-step guides and support user readiness activities.
- Hands-on experience with go-live support and day-in-the-life activities.
- Strong ability to collaborate and proactively share lessons learned within a team setting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills.
- Strong communication skills with a professional and adaptable presence.
- Ability to maintain composure in high-pressure environments and work independently with minimal supervision.
