Akkodis is seeking an Expeditor with a client located in Marysville WA. The Expeditor is responsible for expediting assigned purchase orders to ensure all requirements specified in the purchase order are accomplished including document delivery, efficient coordination, inspections, and on-time delivery.
Pay Range: $37 - $44/hour (The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.)
Job Summary:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Expedite missing, new, or returned documents from vendors, contractors, and Engineering.
- Participate in project meetings, providing status updates on document submittals.
- Ensure timely receipt and review of submittals per schedule.
- Identify and escalate supplier/contractor documentation issues.
- Proactively prevent delays to contractual delivery dates.
- Provide detailed updates to stakeholders on document submittals.
- Support Procurement and Program Teams with document expediting.
- Maintain accuracy in documentation and communication.
- Act as the main contact for supplier delivery commitments.
- Offer timely support to suppliers, contractors, and internal teams.
- Review inspection reports for potential issues.
- Analyze supplier/contractor document submittal plans and progress.
- Identify and address disruptions in submission and delivery schedules.
- Verify supplier/contractor progress against delivery commitments.
- Ensure up-to-date supplier delivery information is relayed to teams.
- Develop and improve material management and control procedures.
