Akkodis seeks a Graphic Artist in Cincinnati, OH, 45249 (Hybrid). The ideal candidate will have experience in executing creative design details, including layout, copywriting, edits, color selection, and/or illustration for marketing collateral and product design concepts.
Assignment length: 12 months, possibly to extend
Pay Range: $23- $25/hr. The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
JOB SUMMARY:
Provides visual solutions for marketing materials, training manuals, and other mediums. Performs graphic design duties requiring planning, scheduling, and implementing graphic design projects. Reviews design drafts and proofs of camera-ready art and ensures proper pagination and color assignment. Applies established corporate branding specifications to ensure work meets organization guidelines. Assists in Web design and creating online content. May produce technical illustrations for manuals, brochures, labels, or other documents.
GENERAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Executes creative design details, including layout, copywriting, edits, color selection, and/or illustration for marketing collateral and product design concepts.
• Executes general design and print layout of common marketing and communication tools, collateral, presentations, posters, tradeshow graphics, etc.
• Provides support for the design of marketing materials in various creative categories, i.e. rich media, graphic design, supporting delivery of sophisticated, custom marketing materials: campaign materials, adoption marketing materials, event promotion materials, digital photography, video, flash, illustration, newsletters, web graphics, etc.
• Supports graphical standards, promotional item design, CD/DVD production, and production of briefing material packaging.
• Produces corporate multi-media and PowerPoint presentations for use by Senior Executives as well as Sales & Marketing staff.
• Administers and maintains master corporate strategic presentation slides and the Enterprise graphics library.
• Maintains company-wide brand standards and professionalism with each presentation/multimedia project. Ensures format brand compliant templates.
• Produces multi-media presentations that require importing tables and charts, inserting video clips, sound and pictures, adding action buttons, animation schemes and slide transitions, and inserting and formatting text-based content, shapes and graphics.
• Responsible for defining and merging data into document design software to activate required personalization.
• Maintains quality control for assigned projects; works closely with the reactive team to stay aware of project updates and changes; proactively troubleshoots technical and stylistic aspects of assigned projects; identifies potential problems or opportunities related to assigned projects.
• Stay current with the latest retail, advertising, style, and graphic trends, including system technology.
• Executes creative design details, including concept, layout, and production files for standard branded marketing materials.
• Executes creative design details, including concept, layout, and production files for client-branded collateral.
• Executes creative concepts and production files for standard products.
• May interface with Senior Executives and Sales & Marketing staff to design customized multi-media and PowerPoint presentations, slide templates, and to create master slides.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience.
GENERAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
• Knowledge of project management methods and techniques to ensure the coordination of people (internal clients and external vendors) and processes to achieve desired outcomes
• General knowledge of graphical templates supporting company brand identity, consistency, and production of materials
• Proficiency in communication practices and techniques
• Knowledge of computer graphics tools and methodologies
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to technical and non-technical audiences of various levels in the organization (e.g., executive, management, individual contributors)
• Proficiency in problem-solving and time management skills managing multiple deadlines
• Proficiency to operate independently
