Akkodis is seeking an IT Support Technician for one of our clients located in Louisville, KY.
Rate Range : $35.00 / hour to $40.00 / hour; the rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Schedule (4 days at 10 hour shifts each)
Fridays Saturdays 6 : 00am to 4 : 30pm
Sundays Mondays 6 : 00pm - 4 : 30am
Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.
This is an Information Technology Operations based role that supports various vehicles. This is an outstanding opportunity to be a member of our team and to assist in redefining and reimagining how our team lends support to the manufacturing team. As a member of this team, you will be hands on in assisting the plant in producing vehicles.
As part of the job responsibilities, you will interface and support IT across a broad host of Infrastructure Applications that the plant uses to produce our high-quality vehicles. You will also lend your knowledge and experiences to support process improvement efforts toward flexible and lean manufacturing, enabling advanced systems (e.g., IIOT, Software-defined networks, next-generation error proofing, digital solutions, and various mobility solutions) along with supporting the legacy manufacturing systems within the facility.
Requirements :
A strong desire to learn manufacturing operations and business practices from an IT perspective is required.
Understanding of computer-based tools, computing infrastructure and interest in processes that support manufacturing is core.
A willingness to work in a high-pressure production environment and flexible working shift is a foundation in this space.
A willingness to learn, adapt and embrace new technologies is key.
Experience required :
Work with Windows, PCs, networks, Printers, and other equipment.
Server installs and upgrades.
Laptop upgrades, refreshes, installs, and updates.
Tracking inventory, tags, tickets, shipments, and vendor management.
Assisting users with new equipment, explaining features, and deskside troubleshooting.
Installation, configuration, and changing out hardware components like hard drives and memory.
Support basic software installations related to hardware functionality.
Work with different teams to escalate issues and ensure everything is up and running.
