What are the responsibilities and job description for the Material Handler position at Akkodis?
Akkodis is seeking a Material Handler for a (Contract-to-Hire) job with a client in(Everett, WA). (This position requires at least one year of experience in logistics, warehouse support, inventory control or similar experience. )
- Rate Range: $21.00/hour to $25.00/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
- Duration: 6 months-to-Hire
- Location: Portland, OR
Responsibilities
- The Material Handler performs daily distribution yard activities for a facility.
- Parts receiving, pulling, kitting, auditing, shipping, return to stock.
- Cycle counts, parts order requests, parts deliveries (internal to PVE), and other assignments based on business need.
- Perform distribution-related functions (receiving, storing, and shipping/building of loads).
- Possible operation of forklift.
- Perform customer service activities.
- Maintain good housekeeping in work area.
- Follow safety programs and ensure compliance of OSHA regulation.
- Material Handlers demonstrate strong commitment to safety, quality, environmental awareness, and continuous process improvement. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
- H.S. Diploma and 2 or more years of experience.
- Must be able to understand and communicate safety and other work-related instructions.
- Working Conditions are in a warehouse operations environment with physical exertion.
- Basic experience with MS Office.
- Experience with ERP systems is a plus.
