What are the responsibilities and job description for the Network Security Engineer position at Akkodis?
Akkodis is seeking a Network Security Engineer for a Contract job with a client in Houston, TX(hybrid), ideally looking for someone with experience in Network Engineering, Network Security, and Connectivity.
Rate Range: $45/hour to $49/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Responsibilities:
Researches, designs, develops, operates and maintains support services for existing and new business applications and/or information systems solutions through the integration of technical and business requirements per standard client's IT process methodology (such as ITIL and ITSM).
Very good knowledge on networks, network security-related technologies, tools, and processes and 2-4 years of working experience in the network security domain.
Able to understand the complex enterprise network, network security architecture, processes, standards, policies and apply them in reviewing/validating the network connectivity/POR requests.
Work with the business/application teams to help them understand the network connectivity request process, help in improving the existing process to speed up the policy compliance check and the validation of submitted requests.
Work with the network operations team to coordinate, track, and prioritize the implementation of approved network connectivity requests as necessary and coordinate with the requesters and Ops to resolve any connectivity issues associated with the implemented requests. Includes identification, development and prioritization of support services according to business criticality.
Applications and information systems solutions include both 3rd party software and internally developed applications and infrastructure.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, analysis of business requirements, creation of documentation, and support and maintenance of infrastructure and information systems.
