Akkodis is seeking a Repair Software QA Technician for a Contract job with a client in Austin, TX. The Field Diagnostics Tools & Systems Engineering team is seeking candidates with solid Software Quality Assurance experience to assist with the validation of Mac and iOS repair and diagnostic tools for performing and completing device repairs in the field.
Job Title: Repair Software QA Technician - Austin
Job Location: Austin, TX
Job Duration: 12-24 Months Contract
Pay Range: $40/hr-$42/hr on W2. The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Key Qualifications
• 5 years of software-based QA experience or a related field.
• Working knowledge of UNIX-based systems and command-line tools for log collection and analysis
• Proven knowledge of core QA methodologies, including the creation of test plans and test cases, authoring documentation, problem isolation techniques, regression testing, adhoc testing, and systems integration testing
• Advanced familiarity with repair, operating, and troubleshooting hardware and software (iPhone/iOS, Mac/MacOS )

Description
• Execute systematic and manual repair QA test cases by working with department leads.
• Use bug-tracking software to report and prioritize issues; work with developers and team leads to understand and pursue issues to resolution.
• Provide project managers and team leads with timely and accurate QA status during various project phases.
• Collaborate with and provide QA testing support to other testers, project managers. developers and other cross-functional teams.
• Contribute to initiatives to improve the overall QA process, such as identifying and closing gaps in testing coverage or inefficiencies in workflows.
Additional Requirements
• Experience with performing mobile device repairs and familiarity with troubleshooting tools for the same is highly desired.
• Experience with testing automation software and scripting development on macOS and iOS platforms is a plus.
Education: Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of related experience or equivalent work experience.
