Regulatory Compliance and Permit Specialist

Akkodis is seeking a Regulatory Compliance and Permit Specialist for a Contract job with a client in San Jose, CA. The ideal candidate must have a strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks and will be responsible for maintaining, renewing, and tracking permits, while also ensuring all reports meet state and federal requirements.

Rate Range: $90/hour to $95/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Regulatory Compliance and Permit Specialist job responsibilities include:

• Oversee the application, maintenance, and renewal of Level 2/3/4 permits for autonomous and semi-autonomous vehicles, ensuring timely compliance with all requirements.
• Collaborate with internal teams to submit event-based and routine reports to federal and state regulatory authorities, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Manage the renewal and maintenance of insurance coverage for each vehicle permit, ensuring alignment with state requirements.
• Oversee the development and compliance tracking of training modules for vehicle operations personnel to maintain regulatory compliance.
• Monitor and analyze changes in state and federal regulations, ensuring the team is informed and compliant with new standards.
• Serve as a liaison between internal teams and regulatory bodies, ensuring smooth communication and understanding of compliance obligations.
• Ensure accurate documentation and auditing of compliance timelines, including incident reports and performance updates.

Desired Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in related fields, such as Business, Engineering, or Regulatory Compliance.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in regulatory compliance, permit management, or related fields, preferably within the automotive or technology industry.
• Proven experience working with Level 2/3/4 systems, especially in autonomous or semi-autonomous vehicle operations.
• Strong knowledge of state and federal regulatory frameworks with experience in compliance reporting and documentation for vehicle operations.

Pay Details: $90.00 to $95.00 per hour
