Akkodis is seeking a Regulatory Compliance and Permit Specialist for a Contract job with a client in San Jose, CA. Regulatory Compliance and Permit Specialist job responsibilities include:
- Oversee the application, maintenance, and renewal of Level 2/3/4 permits for autonomous and semi-autonomous vehicles, ensuring timely compliance with all requirements.
- Collaborate with internal teams to submit event-based and routine reports to federal and state regulatory authorities, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Manage the renewal and maintenance of insurance coverage for each vehicle permit, ensuring alignment with state requirements.
- Oversee the development and compliance tracking of training modules for vehicle operations personnel to maintain regulatory compliance.
- Monitor and analyze changes in state and federal regulations, ensuring the team is informed and compliant with new standards.
- Serve as a liaison between internal teams and regulatory bodies, ensuring smooth communication and understanding of compliance obligations.
- Ensure accurate documentation and auditing of compliance timelines, including incident reports and performance updates.
Desired Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in related fields, such as Business, Engineering, or Regulatory Compliance.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in regulatory compliance, permit management, or related fields, preferably within the automotive or technology industry.
- Proven experience working with Level 2/3/4 systems, especially in autonomous or semi-autonomous vehicle operations.
- Strong knowledge of state and federal regulatory frameworks with experience in compliance reporting and documentation for vehicle operations.
