What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Site Reliability Engineer position at Akkodis?
Akkodis is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer (SME) for a Contract job with a client in Jersey City, NJ or NYC, NY (Hybrid 3 days) . Ideally looking for applicants with a solid background in ensuring the stability and performance of our infrastructure while driving a culture of automation and continuous improvement.
Rate Range : $65 / hour to $70 / hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience.
Key Responsibilities :
- Design, implement, and maintain highly available and scalable systems.
- Develop and enforce SRE best practices, including monitoring, incident response, and disaster recovery.
- Implement automation solutions for infrastructure management, deployment pipelines, and system monitoring.
- Collaborate with software engineering teams to improve reliability and scalability of applications.
- Establish and maintain SLAs, SLOs, and error budgets to ensure system resilience.
- Conduct root cause analysis and drive post-mortem discussions to prevent future incidents.
- Optimize performance and cost efficiency of cloud and on-premise infrastructure.
- Champion a DevOps culture and mentor engineering teams on best practices.
- Evaluate and integrate new tools and technologies to enhance reliability and security.
