About the Role
The SMI department at GreenUp is seeking a Closed Circuit Television Camera (CCTV)Technician to be based out of the Philadelphia, PA office. The CCTV Operator & Field Technician is responsible for performing pipe inspections, recording field data, encoding recorded inspections and assisting with maintenance operations. This role requires proficiency with various software programs, the ability to work in confined spaces, and a strong attention to detail. This position is ideal for detail-oriented individuals with technical proficiency, a strong work ethic, and the ability to thrive in both independent and team environments.
Job Responsibilities:
- Operate CCTV cameras and conduct pipe inspections with precision.
- Record all CCTV field data within the designated workbook using mobile tablets on Android OS, PWD City Works asset management software, and MS Excel.
- Assist the Subsurface Maintenance and Inspection (SMI). Foreman and maintenance crew with fieldwork, requiring OSHA Confined Space Entry Certification.
- Convert and upload all CCTV video footage for analysis and record-keeping.
- Complete SMI Granite tasks in compliance with National Association of Sewer Service Companies (NASSCO) Certification requirements.
- Communicate effectively and manage scheduling using MS Outlook email and calendar.
- Perform fieldwork in all weather conditions, including entry into stormwater inlets and manholes (narrow/confined spaces), requiring proficiency with hand tools and the ability to handle some heavy lifting.
Essential Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Experience with mobile tablets on Android OS, PWD City Works asset management software, and MS Excel for data recording.
- GreenUp will provide training for required certifications for otherwise highly qualified candidates.
- Strong communication and scheduling skills using MS Outlook.
- Ability to work in all weather conditions and confined spaces.
- Capability to perform manual labor, including using hand tools and some heavy lifting.
- Availability for a flexible schedule: typically, 8 hours Monday to Wednesday, half-day Thursday in the field, and 8 hours of office work on Fridays.
- Adaptability to weather-dependent work schedules, with reduced activity during winter when temperatures fall below freezing.
Compensation
Compensation to commensurate with experience.
