What are the responsibilities and job description for the Jewelry Television - Jewelry Closeout Buyer (or Assistant Buyer) position at Jewelry Television?
Responsibilities :
- Sourcing Closeout Jewelry : Identify, evaluate, and secure jewelry closeout opportunities from vendors, manufacturers, and distributors, ensuring products align with company pricing and quality standards
- Negotiation & Purchasing : Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules for jewelry closeout deals to maximize margin and ensure timely replenishment of stock
- Market Trend Analysis : Stay abreast of jewelry trends, customer preferences, and competitive pricing to guide purchasing decisions. Leverage data-driven insights to predict market movements and identify profitable opportunities
- Vendor Relationships : Build and maintain strong relationships with jewelry suppliers and vendors to secure advantageous terms and priority access to exclusive or limited-time closeout deals
- Collaboration : Work closely with the merchandising, marketing, and operations teams to ensure product availability, promotional opportunities, and on-air presentation
- Financial Analysis : Analyze sales performance, margins, and return on investment (ROI) for closeout jewelry to assess product success and adjust strategies as needed
- Product Selection & Merchandising : Ensure that the jewelry assortment aligns with company objectives and resonates with target customers. Participate in assortment planning and collaborate with the merchandising team to ensure the product mix meets business needs
