DIRECTOR OF MARKETING
BASIC FUNCTION:
Working with the Executive Director, the Director of Marketing is responsible for successfully leading and managing marketing activity for the Akron Civic Theatre’s events. This is a senior staff leadership position.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Working with the Executive Director and marketing support:
- Design, build, implement, and maintain event social media, website, and direct e-mail strategy
- Create, optimize, manage, and distribute weekly e-mail updates and e-mail alerts for Live Akron, Civic Theatre, and Goodyear Theater
- Evaluate performance/engagement across digital platforms, and report performance of all digital marketing campaigns, and assess against goals
- Design, or cause to be designed, and install display graphics in the building for upcoming shows (posters, door/window clings)
- Design, or cause to be designed, and implement content for in-theater and external video screens
- Prepare marketing plans and recaps for each show
- Participate in person in weekly booking/marketing meetings
- Regularly meet Executive Director to review ongoing marketing activity
EDUCATION:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in arts administration, business, public administration, non-profit management, or related field
EXPERIENCE:
- A minimum of five years of experience with a proven track record in marketing
- Experience as part of an organization in a growth situation preferred
- Demonstrated enthusiasm and interpersonal skills to relate well with the Board and staff
- Ability to manage time and handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously and independently
COMPENSATION:
- Full-time, salary position with benefits

Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
