We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Director - Business Development - IT Staffing (Texas Region) to help us grow our client base in the Austin/ Dallas area.
Position Overview
Director - Business Development will be responsible for identifying and closing new business opportunities, building relationships with potential clients, and driving revenue growth in the Austin/ Dallas market. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong background in IT staffing and sales.
This is an individual contributor role with Sales targets. Potential to earn over 250k with bonus and no upper limit on commission. This role offers a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in our Texas expansion, with significant autonomy and growth potential.
Qualifications
- 5 to 8 years of experience in business development and sales related experience in IT staffing industry.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and closing deals.
- Strong understanding of the IT staffing industry and market trends.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to build and maintain long-term client relationships.
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to travel within the Austin/ Dallas area to meet with clients as needed.
- Established relationships with IT executives that can be leveraged to drive initial business opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy to expand the client base in the Texas market.
- Identify and connect with potential clients and key decision-makers in the IT industry.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients to fully understand their staffing needs.
- Maintain a consistent schedule of client visits (minimum of 5 per week) to build rapport, gather business insights, and explore opportunities.
- Collaborate closely with recruitment teams to ensure alignment between client needs and qualified candidates.
- Gain in-depth knowledge of the assigned territory, continuously engaging with potential clients to identify, qualify, and close new business opportunities.
- Create and update marketing collateral and client presentations to effectively communicate our services and value proposition.
- Create and deliver persuasive sales presentations and tailored proposals to prospective clients.
- Negotiate contract terms, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements and closing deals efficiently.
- Track and report on key sales performance metrics, market trends, and the competitive landscape.
- Stay informed about the latest industry trends, technology advancements, and competitor activities to provide insights and drive innovation in the sales strategy.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date sales activity records using internal software, updating the sales database weekly, and reporting regularly to the manager.
- Represent the company at networking events, conferences, and industry forums to enhance visibility and generate leads.
