Position: Senior Proposal Writer

Key Responsibilities:

• Work on end-to-end proposal development process, ensuring alignment with RFP/RFI requirements.
• Develop proposal content by assembling information, creating solutions/outcomes/benefits outlines, and writing compelling text with win themes and differentiators. Improve proposal-writing results by evaluating and re-designing processes, approaches, coordination, and boilerplates, speaking to volunteer ideas for improvements, and implementing changes.
• Collaborate with SMEs, engineers, and project managers to gather technical information and develop high-quality content.
• Translate complex technical concepts and solutions into clear, persuasive, and compliant proposal text.
• Edit and revise proposal content for clarity, compliance, coherence, and conciseness.
• Adhere to industry best practices in proposal writing and management (Shipley, etc.).
• Manage multiple proposal projects simultaneously, adhering to strict deadlines and quality standards.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of the proposal development process and documentation.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Journalism, Technical Writing, or a related field.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• 5 years of experience using Microsoft Suite
• 5 years of technical proposal writing experience in response to Federal Government RFP, and RFI, and an understanding of the Shipley methodology.
• Demonstrated success in developing winning proposals for information technology and management consulting services.
• Knowledge of the federal procurement process and understanding of key regulations (FAR, DFAR, etc.).
• Exceptional writing, editing, and research skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly and compellingly.
• Familiarity with proposal management tools and software.
