Description:
BASIC FUNCTION:
Responsible for uploading and downloading customer’s parts. This position is also responsible to help the Lead Straightener straighten customer’s parts to the customer’s specification or flat to the table, best effort.
Requirements:
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Material handling of non-preloaded product to heat treatable containers and from heat treatable containers back to customer containers.
- Housekeeping in all designated areas.
- Implementing all quality procedures as they relate to specific systems and/or customers.
- Assisting in all areas of production and quality as directed by the Team Leader
or member of management.
- Operating a forklift in a safe and efficient manner.
- Following written procedures and work instructions correctly.
- Documenting any non-conformance in the process you discover as well as placing product in the hold/non-conform area.
- Participating in a team based working environment.
- Responsible for communicating with others and participating in a group/team environment.
- Responsible for attending prescribed training sessions.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Material Movement
- Responsible for the knowledge and understanding of process flow, material storage, and staging locations for both customer and heat treat containers.
- Responsible for proficiency in identifying container types by customer, use, and markings.
- Creating and inputting batch numbers into batch tracking systems.
- Follow and execute material movements required by the production schedule.
- Safely and effectively loading and unloading trucks.
- Must have completed training and OJT for Material Movement, passed proficiency test, and
- be signed off per completed Al-Fe Wabash Skill Adder sign off sheet.
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS / ABILITIES:
- Forklift experience.
- Must be able to lift and carry 40 pounds.
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
- Must be capable of learning multiple tasks and willing to stay abreast of changes and learn new tasks.
- Must possess positive attitude, be dependable, reliable, self-motivated, and trustworthy.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Above average work record.
- Must be willing to work toward attaining company goals and objectives.
- Must be willing to work in a shared responsibility and team-based work environment.
- Must meet minimum wait time from being awarded your last skill to be eligible to earn an additional skill adder.
- Must meet all criteria for training, completion of OJT, successful completion of applicable tests and demonstration of competence in skill to be eligible to receive any skill adder.
