What are the responsibilities and job description for the Server/Bartender position at Al's Gator Bait Pub & Grill?
- Al's Gator Bait Pub & Grill is looking for a reliable and trustworthy individual to join our team as a bartender/food server. Reliable transportation required. Base pay plus tips which average $50.00 or more per shift. Compensation includes salary and tips and one meal per shift. Position is "part-time" (less than 40 hours per week), with a typical work schedule of 3 - 5 shifts per week. Must be punctual, no drama, and POS experience required. Ability to monitor & tap beer kegs a plus.
- Sunday - Wednesday: 10:00 - 4:00 or 4:00 - 10:00
- Thursday - Saturday: 10:00 - 4:00 or 4:00 - 11:00

Skills
- Proven experience as bartender / food server.

Duties include but are not limited to:
- Greeting customers and answering questions about our menu
- Preparing / serving draft and bottled beers; wines.
- Restocking bar supplies and maintaining inventory levels.
- Keep track of keg levels and learn / have the ability to tap kegs.
- Maintain bar cleanliness, stocking and basic dining area preparation & sanitation.
- Taking & serving food orders from customers; basic cleaning of restaurant area.
- Washing bar glasses, dishes, assisting with food prep; tapping kegs.
- Knowledge of Al's Gator Bait Pub & Grill's menu and specials.
- Knowledge of proper bar operations, including proper glassware and proper serving.
- Knowledge of proper wine handling procedures and proper food preparation, including cleaning glasses and preparing glasses for service
- Knowledge of proper beer handling procedures and proper beer drinking practices.
- Ability to read and interpret food menu items, including beer menu items.
- Able to keep the bar area clean, organized, stocked, etc. (this is important for bar cost tracking) and stocking walk in cooler, front bar coolers and sodas.
- Wash dishes (during & at end of shift) and bar supplies; assist prepping food orders (sides) & cook if needed; remove trash; have everything stocked & clean for next shift.
Bartender duties include stocking inventory levels, monitoring quality control, cleaning equipment, opening bottles of beer & wine for service, keeping a bar tab, using POS system, opening & closing shift cash drawer. Prepare alcoholic & non-alcoholic beverages. Take & serve food orders at the bar & provide table service in efficient, professional, timely manner. Provide personable, engaging, friendly, attentive, sales-oriented service. Clean, well-groomed, outgoing, polite applicants only need apply. Energetic & self directed required. Full focus on customers & replenish drinks quickly. Ability to refrain from using cell phone while working.
