At Al’s Sporting Goods, we’re passionate about delivering an exceptional e-commerce experience to our customers. We’re looking for an Web/E-commerce Experience Manager to optimize and enhance our website by leveraging user behavior insights, A/B testing, and strategic design improvements in our Logan Corporate Office. This role will ensure that als.com is visually engaging, user-friendly, and conversion-focused, all while maintaining strong brand alignment.
Key Responsibilities
User Behavioral Analysis & Data-Driven Design
- Utilize tools like Microsoft Clarity, Google Analytics, and other behavioral analysis platforms to monitor website user behavior.
- Translate insights into actionable design and UX improvements.
- Define and track KPIs for website performance and establish a cadence for reporting and iterative optimizations.
A/B Testing & Experimentation
- Develop and execute A/B tests, multivariate experiments, and personalization strategies to improve key e-commerce metrics such as conversion rates and bounce rates.
- Analyze test results and implement successful strategies for continuous website improvement.
Brand & Visual Experience Management
- Own the look and feel of als.com, ensuring that imagery, merchandising, and copy align with brand guidelines.
- Partner with internal teams to refine website aesthetics and ensure a seamless customer experience.
Website Asset Development & Maintenance
- Work closely with the design team to develop and maintain website assets, including pages, templates, graphics, and dynamic merchandising/marketing elements.
- Ensure consistency in UX/UI design across all pages and adherence to responsive web design best practices.
- Conversion Optimization & UX Enhancements
- Identify opportunities to improve engagement and optimize user journeys through UX enhancements, website personalization, and customer experience best practices.
- Monitor and improve website performance, including page speed, accessibility, and mobile usability.Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work alongside marketing, development, and leadership teams to execute cohesive e-commerce strategies.
- Act as a liaison between creative, content, and technical teams to ensure smooth implementation of web improvements.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in UX/UI design, web experience management, or e-commerce optimization
- Proficiency in UX wireframing tools like Figma
- Strong understanding of data-driven A/B testing methodologies
- Knowledge of responsive web design and best practices
- Familiarity with content management systems (CMS)
- Experience with web analytics platforms (Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity, Hotjar, etc.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a results-driven mindset
Helpful
- Experience with Search Engine Optimization (SEO) best practices
- Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, XD, etc.)
- Experience with personalization and recommendation engines
- Understanding of Customer Journey Mapping and how it applies to optimizing the e-commerce experience
