This full-time, direct-hire role is responsible for overseeing nursing care and ensuring compliance with New York State Nurse Practice Act regulations. The Director will play a key role in developing healthcare policies, supervising nursing staff, and ensuring the highest standard of care for individuals served. Hours and Benefits for the Director of Nursing – Health Services Salary $100,000 / year Medical / Dental / Vision Monday – Friday days, with some on-call hours Responsibilities for the Director of Nursing – Health Services Oversee nursing care services in compliance with the NYS Nurse Practice Act Develop and revise healthcare policies and procedures in collaboration with the Medical Director and VP of Operations Supervise and manage Assistant Directors of Health Services (RTC & Community) Oversee the daily operations of the Health Services office Provide nursing care as needed and offer training on health policies and infection control Coordinate and oversee the Medication Administration Program (MAP) Ensure compliance with OCFS, OPWDD, and NYS Education Department regulations Conduct HIV assessments and coordinate health-related services Supervise agency RNs, LPNs, and consulting Dietitian Monitor and correct medication errors while ensuring proper staff training Consult with the Medical Director on policies, standing orders, and individual client health concerns Requirements for the Director of Nursing – Health Services NYS Registered Nurse (RN) license (Required) 5 years of experience in pediatrics, developmental disabilities, or psychiatric nursing Previous supervisory experience in a healthcare setting For more details on this role contact : Amy Stringer – Director of Talent – amy.stringer@alaant.com 518-689-0703 Why Alaant?At Alaant Workforce Solutions, we never post a job that isn't a real, verified opportunity.
