Alabama Baptist Children’s Homes has an excellent full-time opportunity for a Social Worker in the Opelika/Auburn area. This position will be responsible for the delivery of case management services to children and families in our foster care program. Some responsibilities include recruiting, licensing, training, and supervising foster homes; coordinating intake, orientation, and admission of children/families; assessing information about children’s developmental/family history; evaluating the needs of children and families; developing and implementing a Case Plan for each child; evaluating progress; managing case records; and more.
Applicants must have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited college or university. Applicants must hold a current license from the Alabama State Board of Social Work Examiners or be license eligible. Applicants must be willing to work a flexible schedule, including some evening hours.
Applicants must be able to demonstrate a good driving record and pass pre-employment screenings including criminal background.
