Worship Leader Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Worship Leader to join our church team. The Worship Leader directs and manages our worship services, including music selection, and provides spiritual guidance to our congregation. The Worship Leader will ensure that the services are engaging and meaningful for our members, inspiring them to deepen their spiritual journey.
Worship Leader Duties and Responsibilities
Plan and lead weekly worship services and special events
Select appropriate music and liturgy for each service
Lead the congregation in worship through song, prayer, Scripture reading, and preaching
Ensure that the services remain engaging and spiritually inspiring
Participate in various church activities, such as Bible studies, small groups, and outreach
Develop and maintain relationships with members of the congregation
Work with the church staff to ensure that all services are properly planned and executed
Manage the worship team and coordinate rehearsals
Worship Leader Requirements And Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Music, Theology, or related field preferred
5 years of experience leading worship services preferred
Excellent leadership and communication skills
Proficiency with musical instruments
Knowledge of different styles of music, such as traditional, contemporary, and gospel
Ability to work collaboratively with other team members
Ability to effectively lead and engage a congregation in worship
