Job Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Revenue Cycle Specialist to join our dynamic team. The Revenue Cycle Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring accurate billing, coding, and collection processes within the healthcare facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical billing, coding, and revenue cycle management.

Responsibilities:

- Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure accurate coding of medical procedures and diagnoses
- Utilize knowledge of ICD-10, ICD-9, DRG, and other coding systems to optimize revenue cycle operations
- Review and process medical claims for insurance reimbursement in compliance with regulatory guidelines
- Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding balances with patients and insurance companies
- Identify opportunities for revenue enhancement and implement strategies to improve collection efficiency
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of medical terminology, insurance policies, and billing procedures
- Work closely with the billing team to resolve billing discrepancies and denials promptly

Skills:

- Proficiency in medical coding and billing practices
- Strong understanding of revenue cycle management processes
- Knowledge of medical office systems and electronic health records
- Experience in medical collections and reimbursement procedures
- Familiarity with industry-standard coding systems such as ICD-10
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment
