What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director of Clinical Services position at Alabama Clinical Schools?
The Director of Clinical Services provides direct supervision to all Clinical Services staff. Oversees the development and implementation of the clinical programs across the continuum of care; develops and revises program descriptions, patient/parent handbooks and oversees the clinical services provided in foster care. Reviews policies and procedures and makes recommendations to senior leadership for change. As a member of the management team, the Director of Clinical Services assists in the achievement of organizational objectives regarding patient care, attainment of operational and financial goals and participates in the promotion of services within the community.
Qualifications
1. Education: Master’s degree in mental health field required.
2. Experience: Five (5) years clinical and supervisory experience with child and adolescent populations in a residential care setting required. Experience in Foster Care services required.
3. License/Certification: Current licensure in the state of Alabama required.
4. Skills: Excellent communication skills, ability to maintain effective working relationships, inter-departmentally, intra-departmentally, and with the clinical staff. Demonstrates the ability to organize, delegate and role model manage the Clinical Services Team. Must have ability to communicate in both oral and written form and in a clean and concise manner.
5. Physical Requirements: Work is mentally demanding. Moderate walking, standing, and sitting. Must be able to safely engage in physical interventions.
6. Other: Performs other duties as may be assigned by the Chief Executive Officer or the Medical Director.
