AML Compliance Auditor
It is the primary responsibility of the Compliance Auditor to investigate and monitor financial activities within the business to ensure that all monetary transactions are real and legally compliant and that the business has a good monetary record to reduce the possibilities of money laundering accusations. All duties are to be performed with the highest level of business integrity while providing excellent guest service and in accordance with federal, tribal, local laws, regulations, and ordinances, as well as department and Company policies, practices, and procedures.
- Enforces, investigates, and reports violations of overall company policies and procedures, as it relates to Naskila Casino and the Tribal Gaming Agency (TGA).
- Conducts testing of potential risk areas and identifies reportable issues.
- Ensures departmental compliance with existing financial policies and procedures.
- Audits daily cash and suspicious activity to ensure proper Federal filings are completed by the deadlines.
- Ensures AML compliance training and testing is administered and completed by the required deadlines.
- Ensures conformance to AML standards, including CTRs, SARs, KYC, OFAC, and CDD.
- Reviews the responses received from internal audits to ensure that findings and recommendations are implemented.
- Prepares preliminary monthly, quarterly, and annual compliance reports for final review by the Director of Compliance, as needed.
- Maintains detailed records regarding compliance correspondence and departmental requests and ensures follow-up is complete, when necessary.
- Responds promptly to requests for information and any other request by the TGA or other governmental agencies.
- Distributes compliance correspondence to applicable departments, as directed.
- Assists the Director of Compliance in acting as liaison to the TGA and other governmental agencies associated with a focus on compliance issues.
- Assists with special projects, including statistical analysis and reporting.
- Responds effectively to guest (internal & external) inquiries related to Compliance, the property and local area, while providing excellent guest service.
- Resolves guest (internal & external) complaints within scope of authority; otherwise refers the matter to management.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum two (2) years of experience in accounting, banking, auditing, or regulatory compliance.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Effectively communicates in English, in both written and oral forms.
Preferred:
- Minimum one (1) year of experience in casino or gaming industry.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
Monday-Friday 8:30am - 4:30pm (Must be flexible to work hours based on business needs, including weekends and holidays)
