What are the responsibilities and job description for the Title and Insurance Professional position at Alabama Credit Union?
Manages the support documentation for loans, including ensuring the liens are perfected (titles, UCCs, collateral protected by insurance), resolving errors and researching problems that arise. Serves as a contact for questions, files claims, and manages payments for GAP and Credit Life/Disability.
Requirements:Experience: One year to three years of similar or related experience.
Education: A high school education or GED.
Interpersonal Skills: Works involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for the purpose of first-level conflict resolution, building relationships, and soliciting cooperation. Discussions involve a higher degree of confidentiality and discretion, requiring diplomacy and tact in communication.
Other Skills
General: Good verbal and written communication skills, including good grammar and diction; attention to detail and strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and change attention focus quickly. Proficiency in the use of an adding machine/ten-key calculator and keyboarding of 30 WPM are preferred. Self-motivation to complete job tasks as assigned.
Leadership: Eagerness to learn new information in a fast-paced environment, and adaptability to apply new information as appropriate.
Technological: Proficiency in the use of a personal computer to include MS Word, Excel, and ability to use web and web-based applications.
Industry-Specific: Professional presentation and the ability to maintain a calm demeanor under potentially stressful circumstances are required. Understanding of loan underwriting concepts and lending risks are required. Understanding of personal financial statements, cash flow, and tax returns are required. Ability to describe and sell appropriate products and services to members.
Physical Requirements: During the course of a normal workday, incumbents will sit, stand, walk, see, hear, reach, use gross and fine motor coordination for activities such as using standard office machines, using paper (to include counting cash, sorting and filling paper items, etc.), and occasionally lift and carry incidental items such as supplies.
