We are currently looking for a reliable and detail-oriented custodial worker to join our team. As a custodian, you will play a crucial role in upholding cleanliness and orderliness within our facility, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants.
Job Description
This is manual work involving the custodial care of public buildings and premises. Employees in this job classification perform cleaning and minor maintenance work in state buildings and hospitals. Vacancies are filled by direct appointment by various departments across the state. No examination is required. No employment register is maintained.
Applicants meeting the qualifications listed below must apply directly to the department for which they wish to work or to the State Personnel Department to be placed on the direct appointment list for Custodial Worker.
Responsibilities:
-Execute commercial cleaning duties, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming carpeted areas at least once weekly.
- Sanitize and clean restrooms, break rooms, and common areas.
- Empty trash receptacles and replace liners as needed.
-Pick up trash outside on the front side of the building.
-Distribute supplies to the proper storage areas within the building for clinic staff.
- Cleans patient exam rooms. This includes but is not limted to spot cleaning walls, doors. door handles, light switches, santitizing all exam tables, countertops, and floors.
Job Qualifications
Six (6) months of experience in janitorial work, grounds maintenance, or related work
