Job Description
The Home Care Services Nurse is a permanent, full-time position with the Alabama Department of Public Health. This position would be based in Etowah or Calhoun County. This is professional nursing work in a home care program.
Responsibilities
-Providing patient care according to the Nurse Practice Act and agency policy which includes systematic data gathering, assessment, and appropriate nursing judgement and evaluation of human responses to actual or potential health problems.
-Complete and submit all patient care documentation and departmental documentation in a timely manner.
-Communicate professionally and appropriately with all internal and external clients, ensuring that all information is shared accurately, timely, and appropriately.
-Complete on call assignments according to agency and program policy, providing 24 hour coverage.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in Nursing.
OR
- Associate's degree from an accredited college or university in Nursing or diploma in Nursing and
- Two years of professional nursing experience.
