Work requires working at Homewood location 3 days per week, and Tuscaloosa location 2 days per week. Must have a reliable vehicle.
We are looking for an experienced 12 Volt technician to install ignition interlock devices, aka car breathalyzers for DUI clients. Must have excellent customer service skills. You'll also enjoy a Monday through Friday, 9-5:30 schedule with overtime possibilities.
Ignition interlocks (IIDs) prevent the engine-start of a client's vehicle if alcohol is present in their breath sample. Our primary duties as an organization are to install, service, and monitor ignition IIDs for those convicted of OWI/DUI. Installers have both technical and administrative duties:
Technical
-Install and remove ignition interlock devices from a variety of vehicles (similar to remote-start installtion)
-Perform mobile installations, removals, and service work using your own vehicle; mileage compensation provided; MUST HAVE RELIABLE TRANSPORTATION
-Service clients on a monthly to bi-monthly basis using a unique program
Administrative
-Take payments using QuickBooks Online (includes training)
-Get clients started on paperwork and help them with any questions they might have
-Keep the shop's lobby clean
-Monitor inventory at your shop using a scanner
-Provide customer support and troubleshooting for clients over the phone and online.
