LASER CLADDING OPERATOR
Job Summary for Laser Cladding Operator:
Performs laser machine set-ups, maintenance, and operates laser equipment to cut, trim, and weld various alloys and components. Follows production sheets or job travelers to determine operations, and performs routine semi-skilled tasks independently or as part of a team. Work is generally repetitive and can be carried out with minimal supervision once learned.

Compensation commensurate with experience.
Education and/or Experience of Laser Cladding Operator:
- High school diploma (preferred) or GED. Apprenticeship programs, vocational training, community or technical colleges desired.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities of Laser Cladding Operator:
- Operates laser equipment and positions components, ensuring safety and making adjustments for cutting and welding as needed.
- Uses control console to retrieve and adjust programs, verifying measurements and quality standards for finished products.
- Performs routine machine maintenance, operates necessary vehicles and equipment, and moves materials as required.
- Completes related duties and tasks as assigned, ensuring productivity and order completion.
Qualifications of Laser Cladding Operator:
- Knowledge of laser machine operations, blueprint reading, and hand tools.
- Ability to perform routine equipment maintenance and use QC tools and gages.
- Understanding of diverse materials and basic metallurgy.
- Ability to move heavy objects (35 pounds) and operate machine shop tools, including computer-controlled machines.
- Strong teamwork, safety awareness, and the ability to enforce safety regulations, including eye safety.
