Alabama State University, College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences invites applications for the position of part time Grant Coordinator for the grant program Gulf SUSTAINERS. This position is expected to be 15 hours per week. The grant coordinator reports directly to the Principal Investigator who assigns duties consistent with this job description. The coordinator also works in cooperation with the Department Chair of Psychology, the Dean of the College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences, and the Steering Committee of the Gulf SUSTAINERS Program. The grant coordinator will perform duties that may comprise planning, implementing, managing and coordinating with various academic and administrative units on campus including the students enrolled in the program or impacted by the program. The grant coordinator works with the Gulf SUSTAINERS principal investigator to carry out the mission, goals, and objectives for the Gulf SUSTAINERS Program and associated academic offerings.Duties and Responsibilities: Reports to the Principal Investigator/Project Director and Co-Project Director in coordinating the work of the grant to include carrying out activities that achieve the mission of the grant.Works with Project Director(s) and Steering Committee members of the Gulf SUSTAINERS Program.Assists in carrying out activities that achieve the overall mission of the program.Assists in the development of campus and community programs and activities and assists in carrying out the work required to host such activities and programs.Works with supervisors and the program evaluator to monitor the progress of the grant to include data entry, data management, and preparing reports on the status of the program and workflow needs.Serves as a customer service representative for the grant internally (faculty, staff and students) and with external stakeholders, such as community organizations.Prepares correspondence for supervisors and prepares other communications as required.Assists in the preparation of planning activities to include the preparation of goals and objectives needed to carry out the mission of the program.Prepares monthly reports, statistical reports, and other publications to assess the work of the program.Assists in the preparation of publicity materials to include newsletters, brochures, invitations, and other correspondence to campus constituencies and external organizations.Assists in the event planning and long-range planning regarding scheduling of activities of the program.Assists with graphic design of publications and marketing materials.Performs any other duties that may be assigned by the immediate supervisorWorks with supervisors to train and supervise student assistants including measuring of work activities.Works flexible schedule (as needed) to host and prepare for academic and community programs; may include occasional evenings and weekends, and may include some day or overnight travel, especially with student field trips.Assists with student field trips, faculty travel, including administrative tasks associated with them.Completes requisitions, purchase orders, submits invoices, tracks budgetary expenses, and works with the Supervisor and other administrative offices to operate within the confines of the approved budget and grant policies.Coordinates and facilitates internal and external presentations and meetings including preparing presentations, assisting in setting up and or facility preparations.Adheres to the overall policies and procedures of the Gulf SUSTAINERS Program, the Department of Psychology, the College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences and Alabama State University.
