Operations Controller

Alabama State University, Academic Affairs invites applications to fill the Operations Controller position. The selected candidate will manage the execution of the International Space Station (ISS) U.S. payloads and science experiments, and ensure the required resources and constraints are in place to effectively and safely operate. Work assignment will be of moderate complexity, diversification or expense.  Assignment will be routine and given in the form of objectives with goals and processes to meet goals outlined.  The Operations Controller will hold responsibility for coordination of any U.S. payload anomaly troubleshooting and recovery as well as recovery of payloads due to systems failures, and provide support for real time operations seven days a week, twenty-four hours per day.Bachelor's degree from an four-year college or university in a related field, and 2 years of experience are required.
