Demand Planning Analyst

Role Overview:
Alabaster Co is looking for an analytical and proactive Demand Planner to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing sales data, forecasting demand, managing inventory, and collaborating with various departments to ensure that we meet our business goals effectively. Your insights will play a critical role to ensure our product availability aligns with market demand and operational capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze historical sales data and market trends to accurately forecast future inventory needs.
• Build and maintain inventory forecasting models and tools to improve accuracy and efficiency.
• Evaluate and analyze inventory costs from different suppliers to identify cost-saving opportunities and maintain optimal budgets.
• Prepare and execute inventory orders from various manufacturers.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, marketing, product, operations, and finance teams to align inventory levels with promotional activities and financial plans.
• Maintain updated records of inventory purchases, delivery information, and invoices.
• Develop and implement strategic plans to handle inventory surpluses or shortages.
• Regularly present inventory and demand planning reports to senior management, providing actionable insights and recommendations.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and negotiate terms that favor the company.
• Stay updated on industry trends and innovations, proactively seeking opportunities to improve procurement processes, reduce costs, and enhance supplier performance.

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
• Experience in demand planning, inventory management, or supply chain analytics.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
• Proficient in forecasting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment and handle changing priorities.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage complexities under pressure.
