What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accountant II position at Alaka`ina Foundation Family of Companies?
The Alaka`ina Foundation Family of Companies (FOC) is looking for an Accountant II to support our Corporate Operations in our Orlando, Florida office.
Under supervision of the Senior Finance Manager, the Accounts Payable Accountant will ensure accurate processing and recording of the company's accounts payable, provide timely and accurate financial information, daily data entry, and perform related work as required.

Associate’s degree in finance, or similar field.

Under supervision of the Senior Finance Manager, the Accounts Payable Accountant will ensure accurate processing and recording of the company's accounts payable, provide timely and accurate financial information, daily data entry, and perform related work as required.
DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform data entry associated with accounts payable
- Review and reconcile invoice discrepancies
- Accurately review, code, and process vendor invoices
- Maintain large number of vendor accounts while staying in compliance with company policies and procedures
- Reconcile assigned ledger accounts to the General Ledger
- Assist with providing documentation for year-end audits and compliance
- Provide overall support to the AP department.
- Collaborate with lower-level accountants and clerical level staff
- Other assigned duties
Associate’s degree in finance, or similar field.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Two to four (2-4) years’ experience in accounts payable
- Knowledge of accounting practices and procedures
- Detail-oriented
- Excellent customer service skills and interpersonal (verbal and written) communication skills
- Strong organizational, time management and prioritization abilities
- Strong PC knowledge including proficiency in Excel
- Must possess a strong work ethic and be a team player
- Experience in the Deltek Costpoint Accounting System
- Government accounting experience
