Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Electronics Systems Specialist to support our government customer at the Pacific Missile Range Facility (PMRF) in Kekaha, Kauai. The successful candidate will provide operational and maintenance support services under minimum supervision from a Lead Technician.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, calibrate, modify, test, and install telecommunications systems and associated networking components and cabling.
- Experience in telecommunications technologies for voice, video, and data systems or their industry equivalents assigned to PMRF communications facilities and assets.
- Set up, check out, operate, monitor, and maintain systems and equipment for Range Operations support.
Requirements:
- Four years of progressive experience in a related field with a minimum of two years' experience operating and maintaining telecommunications for voice, video, and data along with related networking systems and equipment.
- Must be able to use and interpret the results of test equipment used in telecommunications, video, and networking fields such as O-scopes, RF Power meters, Analyzers, Voltage multi-meters, Bit Error Rate Testers (BERT), Time Domain Reflectometers, Toners/Tracers.
- Bachelor's degree in electronics or related field preferred, or equivalent technical training or certification.
- DoD 8570 Information Assurance Certification Training may be required.
Desired Skills:
- Radio Frequency (RF) transmission and antenna systems for Ground Radio, Microwave, Satellite, and other associated telecommunication technologies.
- Telecommunications Inside Cable Plant, Main and Intermediate Distribution Frame, and Cable Record keeping experience.
- Major Battery Back-up and power distribution system experience.
Clearance:
- Secret security clearance is required.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
