About the Position
The Alaka`ina Foundation Family of Companies is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to fill the part-time Janitor/Custodian position at the Haleakalā National Park Summit District. As a member of our team, you will play a critical role in maintaining a clean and safe environment for visitors and staff.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide custodial services to the park, including visitor centers, administrative offices, campground, and trailheads;
* Perform tasks such as basic cleaning, trash removal, mirror cleaning, drinking fountain maintenance, general spot cleaning/disinfecting, dusting, restroom disinfecting, toilet bowl and urinal descaling, sweeping, mopping, and stocking restroom supplies;
* Assist with special events and emergency cleaning situations;
Requirements
* High school diploma or equivalent required;
* Valid state driver's license with an acceptable driving record;
* Two (2) years of custodial work experience;
* Physical ability to lift up to 30 lbs and stand for long periods;
* Ability to efficiently manage time and maintain quality standards;
* Understanding of health and safety regulations;
* Possess attention to detail;
* Ability to communicate effectively;
* Must be able to speak, read, and write English;
* U.S. citizenship required;
* Ability to pass a Federal background check.
