**Job Title:** Network Engineer
About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Network Engineer to support our government customer located in Kwajalein, Marshall Islands.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide hands-on support as a technical contributor for the Network Enterprise Center (NEC) supported Installation Campus Area Network (ICAN).
- Perform network discovery and conduct fault analysis.
- Monitor the common user ICAN and LAN by utilizing enterprise management software.
- Install various network equipment/hardware, including wired, data systems, and VoIP.
- Maintain network infrastructure security and STIG configuration templates.
- Support Unified Communication with installation, configuration, and maintenance of Cisco Voice and Media Gateways.
- Assist with network documentation, including Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTP), network drawings, ConOps, rack elevations, IP address assignment schema, and utilization reports.
- Conduct event management on common user network infrastructure and monitoring services.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree preferred; at least 4 years' experience in a relevant role.
- Required certifications: 8570.01-M Baseline and Computing Environment (CE) IAT-II, AR 25-2, and Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA).
- Strong technical aptitude, ability to research, and solve complex issues independently.
- Experience with Cisco Unified Communication products, network monitoring and authentication tools, and routing and switching.
Working Conditions
- Ability to relocate and reside at the USAG-KA in the RMI.
- Must meet current vaccination requirements for infectious diseases to enter the RMI.
- Pre-employment health screening required due to the island's remote location and limited medical and dental capabilities.
- Ability to ride a bicycle or walk at least 2 miles to/from work daily.
- May be required to work overtime, rotational callback, and emergency duty.
