Education Required:
Associate or Bachelor’s Degree with Data Management emphasis or equivalent knowledge, training and skills.
3 years of experience with NC Student Information System and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities
Overview:
Accurate and timely Data Management is imperative to provide accurate local, state and federal reporting and ensure integrated systems used to provide instruction, assessments, analytics, etc. are correct.
Role and Responsibilities:
Training
- Develop and provide applicable Student Information System training for site based Data Managers
- Develop and provide applicable Student Information System training for site based Support Staff working with student information records.
- Develop and provide applicable Student Information Records training for site based Data Managers.
- Develop and provide applicable Student Information Processes training for site based Data Managers.
Student Information Procedures and Processes
- Provide Student Information support for schools during extended Data Manager absences or vacancies.
- Monitor processes and procedures of site based Data Managers.
- Troubleshoot and provide support for schools as it relates to the State’s Student Information processes and procedures.
- Data Entry of all Student Information following the North Carolina Student Accounting Manual procedures and any local guidelines.
Student Information Validation and Reporting
- Monitor accuracy and completeness of all required fields in the student information system.
- Monitor accuracy and completeness and storage of individual student digital records
- related to the Establish, maintain effective communication complying with confidentiality requirements
- Perform other duties and responsibilities assigned by supervisors
- Local, State and Federal Reporting
Knowledge, Abilities and Skills:
- Considerable knowledge of the NC School Attendance and Student Accounting Manual
- Considerable knowledge of the ABSS local school board policy
- Ability to work with a high degree of accuracy
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Appropriate oral and written communication skills

Considerable knowledge including but not limited to Google Suite and Microsoft Office
(Advanced Excel skills for connecting data sets) - An understanding of data privacy
- An understanding of data security
- Time-management skills with multi-project and overlapping deadlines
