Job Summary
The Director of Student Welfare and Attendance is responsible for the leadership, development, and oversight of student welfare programs, ensuring a whole-child, culturally responsive approach to student success. This role prioritizes the needs of foster youth, homeless students, chronically absent students, and other vulnerable populations. The Director works collaboratively with internal and external partners to develop and implement innovative strategies to reduce absenteeism, support student well-being, and remove systemic barriers to educational success. This position reports to the assigned administrator.

Education and Experience:
- Valid California Teaching or Pupil Personnel Services Credential (required)
- Master’s degree in social work, welfare, psychology or counseling, teaching or related field (required)
- Valid California School Administrator Credential (preferred)
- Valid California LCSW, LMFT or license eligible (preferred)
- A minimum of five (5) years in a supervisory role in schools or youth services agencies, with experience in organizational leadership and program development.
- Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered
- Valid CA Driver’s License/Evidence of Insurability
