Job Summary and Description
The Accounts Payable Specialist (APS) will have knowledge of the accounts payable, general accounting practices, and computer applications. Comprehensive knowledge of the full cycle accounts payable process and experience in procurement card payments, payment requests, three-way matching and report analysis. Work in a fast paced/high volume environment.
Reports to the Associate Director of Accounts Receivable.
Minimum Education and Experience:
- Associates degree in an accounting related field or a combination of relevant experience, education and training that equates to the required degree.
- Two years of accounting or other related experience (an associate’s degree in a related field may be substituted for two years of experience).
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Banner experience preferred.
- Three years Full Cycle Accounts Payable or general accounting experience.
Licenses and Certifications:
- Prefer certification as an Accounts Payable Specialist (APS).
