Job Description
The Procurement Specialist will be responsible for interacting with suppliers to communicate delivery expectations, forecasts, design changes, lead-time management, and material expedites to ensure Supplier On-Time Delivery to our production schedule. They will also work closely with the Engineering team to provide assistance on ECO opportunities and maintain material master records for assigned materials.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies to achieve quality, capacity, pricing, and delivery requirements.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to drive overall cost competitiveness throughout the supply base.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify new suppliers and optimize procurement processes.
- Analyze data to inform procurement decisions and identify areas for improvement.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of supplier performance and material master data.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor's degree in a Technical or Operations discipline.
- Four years' experience in procurement, supply chain, or related supply management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A natural forward planner who critically assesses their own performance.
