As an Engineering Technician II, you will play a crucial role in the development and testing of high-quality commercial and residential lawn mowers. Under general supervision, you will perform test and service functions to ensure the reliability and servicing of Dixie Chopper, Bush, RhinoAG, Bush Hog, and other Alamo Group whole goods and purchased components.
The ideal candidate will have knowledge and experience in fabrication, welding, and tractor mechanics, as well as hydraulic and electrical systems. They must be able to work with machinery in a hands-on environment, read and interpret technical documents, and communicate effectively with team members.
You will work from sketches, prints, or verbal instructions to fabricate and assemble experimental parts, components, and assemblies. You will also perform bench and field tests from test plans and submit detailed reports, making changes to existing products and providing innovative ideas for functional and cost improvements.
