What are the responsibilities and job description for the Master Scheduler position at Alamo Group?
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and manage a 12-month rolling master production schedule aligned with forecasted demand and plant capacity.
Adjust production schedules based on market trends, whole goods inventory levels, and operational constraints.
Collaborate with Sales, Production, Purchasing, Engineering, Dealerships, and Customers to coordinate and monitor the flow of sales orders.
Lead weekly production and scheduling meetings, providing updates on production status, purchase shortages, and capacity issues.
Ensure production delivery dates are accurate and align with customer expectations.
Track and report performance metrics against business plans, including shipment plans, inventory levels, and production targets.
Maintain ERP system scheduling data and oversee schedule reliability.
Work closely with Engineering to schedule prototype and development projects.
Supervise the production control department, including planners and clerks.
Expedite special orders and assist in resolving scheduling conflicts.
Support shipping and trucking coordination, tracking shipping costs, and assisting with revenue forecasting.
Perform reporting tasks, including Work Order Variance review, Month-End parts and whole goods reports, OSMI reports, PPV reports, and Intercompany reports.
Maintain a 5-year shop floor calendar within JDE and manage whole goods inventory stocking levels.
