Job Summary
This position is responsible for operating a Jet Press in a fast-paced print production environment. The Jet Press Operator will ensure the efficient and high-quality production of printed materials while adhering to safety and quality standards. This role requires a strong understanding of printing processes, color management, and machine operation.
12 hour shift - 5AM to 5PM (2,2,3 Rotation)

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Operates and maintains the Jet Press printing press, including pre-flight checks, print job setup, ink management, and routine maintenance.
- Performs quality control checks throughout the print run to ensure color accuracy, registration, and image quality meet customer specifications.
- Troubleshoots printing issues and performs minor adjustments or repairs to the press as needed.
- Monitors and maintains adequate levels of printing supplies, including inks, coatings, and substrates.
- Interprets and follows job instructions and specifications.
- Maintains a clean and organized work area around the press.
- Adheres to all safety procedures and regulations.
- Communicates effectively with colleagues and supervisors regarding job progress, potential issues, and maintenance needs.
- Performs additional responsibilities as required to ensure the team's success.
Position Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 2 years of experience operating printing presses, with experience on a Jet Press highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of printing principles, color management, and print finishing processes.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Demonstrated manual dexterity, mechanical aptitude, and troubleshooting skills. Ability to install, maintain, and repair equipment following safety guidelines.
- Knowledge of predictive and productive maintenance systems
- Able to stand for long periods, bend, and perform repetitive motions.
- Able to move and lift 25 pounds regularly and up to 40 pounds occasionally.
- Able to stand on concrete for 10-12 hours.
- Willingness to work overtime when needed.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to follow written and verbal instructions. Willingness to learn, develop new skills, and be accountable for quality
- Effective communicator with good interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Adherence to safety procedures (including lock-out/tag-out and HazCom) and departmental SOPs.
