Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Press Brake Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining press brake machinery to produce high-quality sheet metal components. This role requires a strong understanding of press brake operation, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to perform quality inspections on finished products. The Press Brake Operator will work closely with other team members to ensure efficient production and adherence to safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Operate press brake machines to bend and shape sheet metal according to specifications.
- Set up tooling and fixtures for various production runs.
- Perform quality inspections on finished products
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues with the press brake equipment during operation.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize production processes and improve efficiency.
- Document production data and maintain accurate records of completed work.
Skills
- Proficiency in operating press brake machinery and understanding of tooling setup.
- Experience with sheet metal fabrication processes.
- Strong mechanical knowledge and ability to use hand tools effectively.
- Experience in quality inspection methods, ensuring product specifications are met.
- Ability to operate a forklift safely (certification preferred).
- Basic programming skills for machine operation may be beneficial.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Press Brake Operator or in a similar manufacturing role.
- Strong understanding of press brake operations, tooling, and machine settings.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
