What are the responsibilities and job description for the Construction Warehouse Manager position at Alas-Co General Construction?

Our ideal candidate will have a background in construction and possess a knowledge of warehouse day-to-day operations; however we will train the right person who possesses a strong work ethic and who is trustworthy and dependable.
Here is glimpse of what you will do:
- Perform /oversee monthly inventory count and reconcile with system reports.
- Oversee maintenance of equipment and oversee warehouse personnel.
- Process inventory tickets daily for accurate job costing.
- Oversee shipping and receiving ensuring accuracy.
- Work closely with Project Managers daily to order construction materials for various jobs/stock.
- Oversee material pricing and maintain price lists from vendors.
- Oversee maintenance, upkeep and daily walk-arounds of fleet.
- Load and unload trucks and trailers.
- Complete paperwork for material shipment and deliveries.
- Setup monthly safety meetings and record attendance.
- Maintain a clean and orderly warehouse and office.
- Maintain a safety mindset in all duties performed.
Here is some of what you will need :
- Construction warehouse and expediting experience, two years.
- 21 years of age with a valid State of Alaska Driver License and a good driver record.
- Strong time-management, organizational and relational skills. Particularly proficient with multi-tasking in a busy construction environment.
- The physical ability to lift and carry at least 70lbs of materials and tools.
- The physical ability to climb, bend, kneel, crawl and stoop on a frequent basis and for extended periods.
- The ability to work closely with Project Managers, construction crew and admin in a busy office.
- Capable of operating basic power and hand tools.
- Capable of light mechanical trouble shooting and diagnostics.
- Must be capable of operating a fork lift safely and efficiently.
- MS Office experience.
- DOT Health Card preferred, not required.
- OSHA Training preferred, not required.
Job Hours:
- Mon-Friday 7:00-4:30PM
- Occasional Saturdays
