Warehouse Coordinator (Juneau Location)
Seasonal Position: Late-March to Early-November
PAY: $22.00 per/hour

BRIEF DESCRIPTION: The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for the daily operations of the Alaska Geographic (AK Geo) Glacier Bay National Park and Preserve warehouse in Juneau, Alaska including supporting retail tasks in accordance with Alaska Geographic policies and procedures. Duties include; shipping, receiving, mail orders, branch transfers, customer service, PO confirmation and tracking.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Work with the Alaska Geographic Sales Operations team and Glacier Bay Branch Manager to receive, process and transfer sales products. This includes working closely with cruise ship agencies.
- Build, pack, transport, and ship accurate orders based on retail sales operation needs.
- Provide exceptional customer service both internally (other AK Geo staff and frontline teams) and externally (Partners and retail customers).
- Maintain positive relationships with Alaska Geographic partners, vendors, and employees at all times.
- Follow proper Alaska Geographic procedures, consult with Glacier Bay's Branch Manager and the Regional Operation Managers as appropriate, and track product information through POS (Square) system.
- Optimize space allocated and organize inventory in Alaska Geographic warehouse.
- Counting inventory as it is received and reporting inventory counts to the Branch Manager and Regional Operations Manager. Notifying Branch Manager and Regional Operations Manager when stock levels are low.
- May be asked to temporarily support sales staff at Gustavus location. Travel and accommodation expenses will be covered.
- Alaska Geographic employees must follow HR policies, guidelines, and procedures as stated in the Employee Manual and Retail Training Manual.
- Mailing out inventory to customers and other sites as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS, ABILITIES, OR KNOWLEDGE:
- Proactively problem solve quickly and implement solutions.
- Two years’ experience in retail and/or warehouse operations.
- Working knowledge of computers, POS systems, comfort with the cloud-based Microsoft 365, Zoom, and web-based shipping software such as ShipStation. Square inventory platform knowledge a plus.
- Ability to communicate clearly, both verbal/written. Retain and accurately pass on information to employees, vendors, partners, and customers.
- Valid driver's license is required. A company vehicle is available to Warehouse Coordinator 25 years or older, per insurance requirements. Staff under 25 must provide their own transportation for work-related travel.
- Lift boxes weighing up to 50 pounds to a shelf height of 5 feet also, this position involves lifting and moving heavy boxes that may exceed 50 lbs.
- This position will require an NPS background check and security application for Princess Cruises.
- Ability to work independently.
MINIMUM EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- High School Degree or equivalent required.
WORKING CONDITIONS AND SAFETY HAZARDS:
- Will be faced with the need to proactively prioritize and accomplish multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Lift boxes weighing up to 50 pounds to a shelf height of 5 feet also, this position involves lifting and moving heavy boxes that may exceed 50 lbs.
- Occasional overtime may be required throughout the year.
- Occasional travel may be required.
