JOB TITLE: CT Technologist
DEPARTMENT: Imaging Services
SUMMARY OF DUTIES: The CT Scan Technologist is a nonexempt position that operates a computerized tomography scanner and related equipment according to established procedures, in order to produce radiographs of any designated anatomical area and completes records on patient data and equipment operation. Provides assistance to patients and Cardiologists. Solves minor equipment problems. Performs calibration tests and other QA functions on equipment and notifies services personnel when required.

Qualifications
Education: Minimum: Graduate of an approved school of Radiologic Technology.
Experience: Preferred: One year of experience in CT
Certificate/License: Certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or be registry eligible and seek certification at the next available date.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- must be able to prepare and inject contrast materials for diagnostic imaging
- Must be able to process diagnostic imaging procedures
- Performs quality assurance procedures on equipment
- Prepares reports for reading physicians
- Maintains patient confidentiality
- Other duties as assigned by supervision
