About the Role:

As an Accounts Payables Clerk in the Wholesale Trade industry, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth financial operations of our organization. Your primary responsibility will be to accurately process and record all incoming invoices, ensuring timely payments to our vendors. By maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, you will contribute to the overall financial health of the company. Your attention to detail and strong organizational skills will be essential in this role. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with various departments to resolve any payment discrepancies and provide exceptional customer service to our vendors.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Matching and entering invoices 
  • Entering, posting, and reconciling invoices 
  • Researching and resolving accounts payable issues with vendors/buyers/purchasing/sales 
  • Maintaining account reconciliations, chargebacks and payment remittances.
  • Processing incoming inventory trailers
  • Support the Accounting department by completing administrative tasks.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Accounts Payable Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS - EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION

Required (Minimum) Qualifications:

  • Microsoft Office Suite skills to include Microsoft excel experience required
  • Highschool diploma or GED equivalent

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Punctuality and reliability
  • Critical thinking skills
  • Work ethic and flexibility
  • Teamwork and communication skills
  • Adaptability skills required for cross-training

Preferred qualifications/skills/experience:

  • •Prior experience in an A/P role
  • •Prior inventory/receiving experience
  • •AA degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or Economics
  • •Infor ERP experience

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Job is performed in an office setting working in proximity with other Accounting Department Team members and exposure to multiple computer screens. Requires extensive use of a computer, keyboard, mouse and multi-line telephone system. The work described herein is primarily a modern office setting. Occasional overtime may be required.

As a condition of employment, may be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening, as well as have acceptable reference and background check results to obtain access to military base. Must have reliable transportation to/from work a necessity and must be able to obtain access to military installations.

  • Paid Time Off (PTO): PTO is earned on an accrual basis, with increases based on your years of service. Additionally, you will receive paid time off for company-recognized holidays, jury duty, bereavement, and parental leave.
  • Health Club Benefit: We encourage a healthy lifestyle and provide a monthly reimbursement of $50 for gym membership fees. This benefit is available to you if you attend the gym at least 8 times per month.
  • Hiring Bonus: Upon completing 180 days of employment, you will receive a hiring bonus of $500 as a token of our appreciation.
