Summary
The Lead Leave and Benefits Administrator manages the day-to-day administration of leave and benefits programs while providing guidance to employees and HR partners. This role ensures compliance with leave regulations and benefits policies, troubleshooting escalated issues and streamlining processes.
Responsibilities
Oversee and administer all leave programs, including Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), Paid Time Off (PTO), Leave of Absence (LOA), short-term and long-term disability, paid parental leave, and other applicable leave programs.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local leave laws and company policies.
Serve as the primary point of contact for employees and managers regarding leave requests, eligibility, and status updates.
Partner with HRBP, payroll, safety and legal teams to ensure seamless leave processing and compliance.
Assists in the management of the administration of employee benefits programs, including health, dental, vision, life, disability, and retirement programs.
Work with benefits vendors to ensure smooth plan administration and troubleshoot issues.
Support annual benefits enrollment, plan changes, and communications.
Monitor and analyze leave and benefits trends, providing recommendations for program improvements.
Maintain accurate records and reporting related to leave and benefits programs.
Train HR and managers on leave and benefits processes and compliance requirements.
Serve as a resource for employees by providing clear and timely communication about leave policies, procedures, and benefits.
Conduct employee education sessions on leave and benefits programs.
Handle escalated issues related to leave and benefits, ensuring resolution in a professional and timely manner.
Performs other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Minimum Experience Qualification
Non-supervisory – Five (5) years of experience in leave administration, benefits administration, or a related HR role.
Preferred Certification Qualification
Certified Employee Benefits Specials (CEBS), SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or Professional in Human Resources (PHR).
Additional Requirements
May be required to work outside the traditional work schedule.
May be called out to work off-shift in emergency situations.
