Summary: Under general direction performs skilled craft construction, operation, maintenance, and repair. May perform work in more than one craft discipline as personal skill permits and workload requires.
Responsibilities:
Performs extensive remodels within the hospital structure, including demolition of walls, floors and ceilings. Builds or remodels interior spaces including both office areas and patient care areas, including fabrication of walls, doorframes, ceilings and flooring. Requires extensive knowledge of how to perform design-builds, while complying with International Building Code and NFPA Fire & Life Safety Codes. Inspects, services and maintains operational functionality of doors, windows, locks, security accesses, and fire alarm triggered devices. Designs, constructs and repairs structures, including shaping, contouring, fabricating, and altering and installing synthetic and high-grade wood items. Follows safety precautions and procedures in performance of job duties. Follows clean construction policies including knowledge and implementation of: Infection Control procedures, Interim Life Safety measures, and Pre-Construction Risk Assessments. Orders supplies and materials related to project, coordinates and schedules contractors and other maintenance workers. Assesses and adjusts priorities and refocus efforts as needed to meet individual project requirements, workload, and program objectives on all ANTHC Buildings. Completes Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly, Semi-Annual, and, Annual PM’s assigned by management. Performs other duties as assigned.
C arpenter Apprentice
S erves as the productive worker to assist the Journeyman and Senior Journeyman in the repair and installation of various materials on the ANTHC Properties. Learn the work order system, and establishes priorities to meet deadlines of Projects, PM’s and work orders, learns the steps to perform the above representative duties, tool and material safety.
J ourneyman Carpenter
A ble to perform all of the above duties with minimal supervision, prioritize and meet tight deadlines
S enior Journeyman Carpenter
N o Supervision needed able perform all High level, complex duties throughout ANTHC campus, also trains the Carpenter Apprentice on the representative duties, checks progress of Journeyman Carpenter, prioritizing work efforts, provide training on tool and material safety.
L ead Carpenter
A ble to perform duties of Senior Journeyman as well as assist in preparation of cost estimates, input material requisitions in INFOR, and input project schedules into Microsoft Project. Coordinates with sub-contractors and other trades and departments as required during construction.

C ompletion of a formal apprenticeship program typically requiring a combination of 6000 - 8000 hours of education, practice, and/or on-the-job training and leading to a journey-level designation.
