LOCATION : Dillingham, Alaska
REPORTS TO : Superintendent
QUALIFICATIONS :
Type A Professional or Master teacher certificate required; Must possess thorough knowledge of educational process and school operations; Three (3) years of professional experience in school instruction environment preferred; Must possess excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communications skills; Must be proficient in technology to include productivity and workstation software (digital authoring, databases, spreadsheets, word processing, and desktop publishing); Demonstrated abilities to work in a support capacity to students and staff required; Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team to address instructional challenges required.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Follows all guidelines and standards for general education teachers.
- Conducts teacher in-services for SWRS staff.
- Supports and coordinates all components of Exploration Week activities.
- Travels to sites to support staff with curriculum and instruction needs, including but not limited to :
Assist with on-site placement testing and student grouping.

Salary placement is based on columns (college credits obtained) and / or steps (number of years of experience). Health insurance is provided (monthly premium co-payment is deducted). Furnished housing is provided (monthly rent payment is deducted; roommate sharing may be required). A travel benefit between Anchorage, AK and the specific location is provided. This position may be covered by the 2024-2027 the Teacher's Negotiated Agreement as applicable.
